Typical Workflow in ORIA Reasoner

This is how a typical session flows from start to finish.

Step-by-Step

1. Start a session — from an Expert if one fits, or by clicking +, or simply by asking your first question.

2. Add the relevant Ontology Nodes — click + next to Ontology Nodes, read each node description to confirm the grain of the data, and select the nodes you need.

3. Narrow Institutional Memory (optional) — if the default (all domains) is too broad for this question, click the ⚙ icon and limit it to the domains that bear on the question.

4. Open Session Tools — click + next to Tools in this session and enable only what the question needs. Or describe the task and click Recommend to let Oria suggest tools.

5. (Optional) Upload supporting Files — attach spreadsheets or documents for Oria to read alongside your data.

6. Ask your question — type it in the "Ask about your data…" box.

7. Check the Memories Used block — before acting on the answer, read the Memories Used block and source references to verify what Oria actually drew on.

8. Pin useful results to Artifacts — save results you'll want to reuse or reference later.

Key Principle: Scope Narrowly

Adding every node, every domain, and every tool to a session degrades answer quality rather than improving it.

Start with what the question actually requires, and widen only if the answer comes back incomplete.

When to Create an Expert

If you find yourself repeating the same session setup (same nodes, same tools, same instructions) frequently:

1. Create an Expert with that scope and standing instructions
2. Use the Expert as your starting point for future sessions
3. Widen the Expert scope once rather than repeating the setup each time
