Shared Folders

Collaborate with your teams in shared folders with a shared DataDrive

Shared Folders Overview

Shared Folders in ARPIA function similarly to DataDrive but are designed to facilitate collaboration by allowing users to view folders and shared objects through other users' accounts. This feature enhances team collaboration by enabling shared access to organized data.

Key Features

  1. Folder Sharing: Unlike DataDrive, Shared Folders permit the sharing of entire folders. Users can view all contents within the shared folder, including any sub-folders created within it.
  2. Object Sharing via Sub-Folders: While individual objects cannot be shared directly, creating a sub-folder containing the desired object allows for sharing that specific item. This method ensures that specific data can be shared efficiently without exposing unrelated content.

Usage

  • Shared Access: Users added to a shared folder will have access to all items within that folder, streamlining the process of collaborative work.
  • Centralized Management: The ability to share folders simplifies data management by consolidating shared resources in one accessible location.

Benefits

  1. Enhanced Collaboration: Facilitates teamwork by allowing multiple users to access shared data seamlessly.
  2. Organized Sharing: Keeps shared data organized and easy to manage through the use of folders and sub-folders.
  3. Controlled Access: Ensures that only intended recipients can view shared content, maintaining data privacy and security.
