Institutional Memory (Cerebro) in ORIA Reasoner
Institutional Memory (Cerebro) lets Oria answer from your organization's recorded decisions, rules, and procedures — not just from the data in your session or from the model's general knowledge.
It is enabled by default in every session, scoped to every domain your profile can access. You do not need to turn it on. What you may want to do is narrow it, or turn it off.
Controls in the Panel
Two controls sit in the Institutional Memory panel header:

The Institutional Memory Settings Dialog

| Use institutional memory in this session | On | Turn off and Oria answers from your session data and the conversation only. |
| Limit to these domains | Empty (all domains) | Leave empty and Oria may read any domain you have access to. Choose some and it cannot read outside them. Organization-wide rules are always included either way. |
| Ask me before saving anything | Off | Saving to a shared domain always asks, regardless of this setting. Turn this on to also be asked before Oria saves to your personal memory. |
Important Notes
Institutional Memory is a read and write path. Oria can record new memories during a session, not only consult existing ones.
- Shared-domain writes always prompt for confirmation
- Personal-domain writes do not, unless you enable Ask me before saving anything

Typical Use
- Leave memory on by default — your organization's rules and decisions ground better answers.
- Narrow domains only if the default scope is too broad for this specific question.
- Check the Memories Used block in Oria's response to verify what it actually drew on.
- Review any memory Oria proposes to save before confirming it.
